Bebenhausen Monastery is located about 3 km north of Tuebingen. We visited and toured the Abbey which was a Cistercian Monastery. It was built by Rudolf I of Tuebingen in 1183. The Monastery dissolved in 1535 and in the beginning of the 19th century it was used as a royal hunting pavillion for the kings of Wuertenmberg. It was a fortified Monastery with walls and here you can see the wall perimeter that they would walk around.

Enjoying the sunshine.
