April 26th. Happy 4th birthday Isabelle!

Izzy's new birthday wheels...complete with fashionable streamer handlebars, a white wicker basket (to hold her kitties of course), and a bell. Now, if she can just figure out how to pedal she will be in business. For such a smart little girl who learned her letters at 2, she just can't figure out how to get those long legs in motion.

What a day! Time to relax in the clover...with her head on the concrete driveway. Comfy.

Birthday picnic at Broad Ripple park and Jimmy Johns for lunch.

Enjoying the sunshine!

No hands required. Frosting is the best part.

left-over cupcakes and a breakfast birthday song on Isabelle's birthday with her cousins, Katelyn and Konner.

Konner is a huge lego fan, so he was very excited to visit the Children's Museum and see the exhibit there. This is Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany made out of legos.

The girls playing with some oversized lego blocks.

Konner was a big helper.

The line-up walking to the Build-a-Bear store.

Isabelle and Allie's birthday party

Huggable.

Got the right amount of stuffing...

Lots of eager hands and helpers to unwrap those gifts!

1 more day and I am 4!

Allie just wants to get her hands on that frosting and Dora figurines!

On Saturday, Isabelle and Allie invited 13 guests to celebrate in chaotic style at Build-a-Bear at the mall. The morning started off with an impromptu cupcake and half of the gift unwrapping, and then off to the store. The kids all had a great time although it was a bit crazy at times. What can you expect with the majority of the kids being ages 2 to 4? It was alot of fun sharing a special day with family and friends and the girls got alot of new special gifts! Plus, the weekend was in the 80s with sun, so you can't beat good weather! Thanks to all that came and for the wonderful gifts you gave.

Pond jump

The little blue square is the "pond". Also, you can see a half pipe and ski jumps.

A very brave jumper coming down...

and making it!!!!

We had an amazing time with our friends and on the slopes skiing. The resort is beautiful and very family friendly. This past weekend was also when the resort closed for the winter. They still had plenty of snow though! The weather was beautiful 40- 50 degrees. It did snow every day and then the clouds would part to reveal bright, gorgeous blue skies. The above pictures are from their annual Pond jump where people would ski down and try to jump over a little pond that they constructed at the bottom. The pond didn't look very deep and alot of people didn't make that "jump". We saw all sorts of costumes coming down, from bikini-clad ladies, cow costumes, cut off shorts, and even a Borat costume. Yikes. They had music and the MC was hilarious. It was so fun to watch.

Check out that green barely there one piece!!! Ha!

The family on the mountain during the "Pond Jump".

Daddy and Allie enjoying the warm 50 degree sunny sky weather.

Our good friends, Pat and Karen own the condo that we were staying at in Big Sky. They moved from Indy to Philadelphia last year. It was so good to see them and meet their beautiful daughter.

Karen's Brazilian mother "Vovo" (grandma in Portuguese) was there to help with the baby. She also watched Isabelle and Allie while Jamie and I were out skiing. She is sooo wonderful and always has a smile on her face. She obviously is so in love with her newest grand-daughter.

A very snowed-in playground.

Skiing together.

Walking back from dropping Izzy off at ski school. The girls had fun playing in the snow and walking about.

I got to ski 3 days and had a blast. Jamie took a ski lesson and then I joined him to ski. We had so much fun!

Ski school for Izzy

Isabelle had her first try on skis. According to the instructors, she got off to a great and enthusiastic start and went down the gradual slope a few times. Then, she fell and wasn't keen on trying again even when going down with an instructor and going slow. She lasted about an hour and then I got the phone call to come and pick her up. She was one tired little girl! Next winter we will give it another try.

Adorable Lorena, our friend's 5 week old daughter.

Big Sky mountains.

Playing on a snow bank outside the condo.

Isabelle boarding our second flight from Denver to Bozeman.

Allie making sure she knows where the exit rows are...

Happy Easter!!!!!

We want to wish you all a happy Easter on Sunday! Allie didn't trust the bunny ears and so was an unwilling subject to photograph...but Izzy will pose for you! They also got a chance to see the Easter bunny at the mall (from a 4 foot distance) where Isabelle promptly told me that "it wasn't real and just a person dressed up". Also, the bunny was wiping his eyes and so Isabelle (and Allie caught on to this too) said that they made the Easter bunny cry. On a prior occasion that involved a very aggressive bee at a restaurant, we had explained that it was just a costume as she was afraid of it...I guess that goes for all big costume figures. That might make a trip to Disney World a little less fun for her if we ever go.

Monkey Joe's

Dangerous fun at a bounce house was shared with friends, Melissa, Jaden and Breck. It is a quite a place but makes me crazy nervous!
