59.365 PUPPY

Friday evening we spent the night with Shawn and early Saturday we ventured to Tiffin to get our new puppy!  We found her through a friend who had "oopsie" puppies from their very sweet sweet docile dog, Daisy.  We have been waiting since December 18th to meet her!  She was the last one of the litter to be picked up.  They took such amazing care of all the puppies and we are so lucky to have one.  Her mom is a black lab/german shepherd and maybe a little chow mix and dad is a purebred yellow lab.
 Introducing, "Eve".

After a very long ride home we settled in to her new surroundings. She did amazing the first night.  I checked on her and she was quiet in her crate.  I took her to potty at 11:30 that night and she stayed in her crate until 6:30 that next morning without any accidents!!

Obviously, the girls like her a little bit...:)

Kokomo beach day for the girls where they dress up, bring a beach towel and have a picnic lunch and slushy at school.

And a exciting pajama/ pizza party for this girl.  She is absolutely thrilled!

Getting ready for the puppy also means playtime with new toys for the girls.  :)

bedtime...ideal time is by 8:30...but it is rare
Juliette is on a stream of independence...except when it comes to wiping her behind.  She showers, dresses, and generally gets herself ready for bed.  I thought she was really quiet tonight and when I went to see her progress I found her with her drawer open and her asleep in her towel.  Now that is tired when you are inches from getting yourself dressed!

A 2 hour delay and a game of "Stinky Jack" to pass the time.  In the first two images, Juliette had picked the "stinky jack".  :)

Juliette loves her Daddy!  And she loves every opportunity to call him on the phone.

A Sunday afternoon
and
Where I found you

Your eyes tell me stories
and photographs
catch a forever glimpse
of those tales left to be
told.

A corner place in the living room I found you constructing a perfect fort to hide.

At the piano I found you...playing sheet music and composing songs of your own.

Reading...always reading it seems I find you in your sunny room.
You said that when we moved here years ago that your windows made you feel like a princess.  You said that thunderstorms are your favorite and you lay on your bed in the darkness and watch as the lightning streaks across the sky.

It snowed all night and throughout the day Monday.  We were greeted with 8 inches of fresh powder which with the first runs of the day felt like you were skiing on clouds.

Guess who got sick in ski school??  Poor Juliette and the altitude did not make a good combination.  She was in the best mood in the morning and never complained once but a few hours in to the program she was vomiting.  She usually felt better after.  Despite our best efforts with hydration and ibuprofen she just couldn't tolerate it.  The girls all felt a bit off and so did we.  Isabelle complained of being short of breath (me too) and Allie had a stomach ache every morning.  Next year, we plan to go to a ski resort with a lower altitude until they are a little older.

We promised Isabelle and Allie a few runs in the afternoon, so we picked them up early and were blown away at how fast and steady they were on skis already!  They loved it and had great instructors their last 2 days.  Actually, their second day they had my instructor from the day before!
We had a great time skiing with our friends!
One last trip on the "gongola"

We love to ski!
