Sunday was a beautiful morning, party sunny and highs in the 30s. We got the girls settled in ski school for their second day and Jamie took off for a lesson. I enjoyed some solitude up on the mountain! Gorgeous!
The highest lift in North America is seen here on this peak called the Imperial Express. This summit is at 12,998 feet.
The snow started to fall in the afternoon and Jamie and I relaxed on the patio with a frosty beer before we picked up the girls.
Earlier in the day I skied down to the area that they were taking lessons. Here they were about to get on the Rip Ride lift. They started taking the lift the first day and it about gave me a panic attack thinking about it. I could really see an improvement every day as they were able to turn, parallel their skis and stop (most of the time). :)
They were in the yellow group (as caution tape was put in the helmets). :)
Before the parent pick-up we were able to see the kids go down to the bottom. Here is Juliette! The only day she made it through the lesson without being sick was this second one.
She said she had an awesome day!
Turning with the "snow rope".
At the lockers, finishing up our day.
That evening we walked down to the village and did a little souvenir shopping and got crepes.
They had fun playing in the snow while they waited for their order!
