Juliette showing off some moves prior to her gymnastics/dance class today.  I unfortunately was very sick so I missed her official "show-off" but was  thankful for friends who were able to watch and bring her home for me too.  She loves gymnastics and is getting ready for a recital in June.

The day has finally arrived, Miss Isabelle where you leave the single digits behind!  Happy 10th birthday!!!!
First thing on her agenda, PRESENTS!

Legos, clothes, books, pajamas and a pair of roller skates and pads!
Per her request we lucked out and sat down at Rosie's, a great breakfast place in town where she had her favorite, eggs and pancakes.

We were then off to Hot Skates with a few friends in tow...
where they all had a blast...(with a bit of falling) rollerskating!

Where Juliette was a natural on ice skates...not so much on wheels...thankful that Daddy was near!

 Pizza and cupcakes,
 and a birthday song.
After they were able to do some more skating and use their tokens for games and tickets.

Allie is so bummed that the skating is over!
Isabelle's honorary Aunt Vicki and Uncle Chris had us over for a delicious meal and we celebrated once more!  They also kept our puppy for us.  They are the best!  Birthdays should always be with as much family as possible.  :)

Hope all your wishes come true sweet Isabelle!!

It was a busy day for me going back and forth to elementary school to watch music performances.  The school had a singer song-writer be with them over the course of weeks and each class composed and performed a song that they wrote.  It was so good!  We will be getting a CD as well.

After school this one showed me all her ballet positions...that she could remember.  :)

Eggs are always a special request on lazy Saturday mornings and so I had Allie give me a hand in the kitchen.  Funny how working over an open flame and cutting with a sharp knife gives you certain authority in the kitchen.  She loved helping and learning and we all sat down to enjoy a delicious breakfast made by her.

A decade goes by in a blink, even when you try to keep your eyes wide open.

My sweet, kind, beautiful Isabelle is turning 10.  She is compassionate, loves kids and animals, wants to be a nurse when she grows up, is a loyal friend and a great sister.  She loves greek mythology, candy, ice cream and chicken tenders.  She is an avid reader and a book is never far from her reach.  She loves nature, pretending and being outside.  She has an amazing soul and we are so glad that she is ours.  She made me a mother and teaches me so much about life.
