bye bye paci

After our return from North Carolina, the airplanes took all of Juliette's pacifiers to deliver them to other babies.  At least that is the story I told her.  This might be the last picture I have of her with it before the mean mommy took it away.  She did fairly well with just a few tears and a couple of restless nights.  She also now will "sing" with me at bedtime :).  She is really changing soooo much.  After her bath tonight she said she needed to "poopy" but then ended up sitting on her potty chair and went "peepee" instead!  She was so proud of herself!

A beautiful evening....

“I sometimes wake in the early morning & listen to the soft breathing of my child & I think to myself, this is one thing I will never regret & I carry that quiet with me all day long.”

Friday, July 20th...our last day in Kitty Hawk

What an amazing vacation!  The Outer Banks was so fun, loads of great restaurants and good seafood, so many nice and friendly people...we can't wait to go back!  We went to the beach to relax in the morning after breakfast and spent time swimming in the ocean, collecting stones and shell fragments, and looking for crabs.  When we went back to the condo for lunch, it started storming and raining.  Storms come quickly here and we saw something we haven't seen for a long long time!  Torrential rain!    It was a perfect time to clean, pack and finish laundry.  We left Kitty Hawk around 5 pm and arrived in Virginia Beach at 6:30.  We ate at a great authentic Italian restaurant and then went to our hotel for the night.  We left for Indy early that next morning at 7 am!  Every one said their favorite thing about the vacation was the beach.  Isabelle liked the Jeep horse tour as well.  Allie loved going to the pool every day.  Juliette seemed to enjoy it all!

Thursday, July 19th...beach, a quick nap and Elizabethan gardens

A place we ate that evening...establishments would have these gigantic  adirondack chairs outside.
Isabelle spent some of her time jumping, doing cart-wheels and hand stands on the beach.  It was so cute!

Allie pretending to be a dolphin princess...
The girls were so tired mid-day.  On the 2nd floor of the condo, the deck had this great hammock that was great to sit in.  If Isabelle wasn't catching her zzzz's she was playing games of Crazy 8's with Allie and I.
