The day you have you tap/ballet/gymnastics class.  I can't think of many things cuter then watching a class full of 3 year olds attempting a tap routine.  It is adorable.  I love watching the joy you get from it.

The days that you are a compulsive indecisive clothes changer.  The days that we bed, plead, bribe and demand you to make a choice when you wake up to the pajamas you wear that night.  Or today, when you for 45 minutes didn't wear clothes on the bottom at all...because you couldn't decide on an outfit.

The day you took roll call for your "class" and complain you don't ever have enough time to teach.  The day you said you hardly get any attention, hugs and kisses being the middle child.  You said that even Crunchy the goldfish gets more attention then you.  As a baby you were my neediest, the one who breast fed the longest, the one that was never satisfied with answers and the one I still struggle with challenging enough.

These are our mornings before school.  All of you perched on your stools at the counter munching on whatever you request from this short order cook (only at breakfast do you get this privilege).  You asked me to take a picture and I can't say no to that.  Juliette said, "these are my befst frienns".  They are indeed.

The day you set up your "toy store", charged me outrageous prices and would only let me buy one Barbie.  You set up pillows and blankets as doors and would let the cat in but only reluctantly let me in after awhile.  I see such a different side of you while you role play.  Your normally shy, timid self in public becomes a bossy, assertive and demanding little person at home.

The day where 50 degrees felt so warm that you had to take off your winter jacket.  It has been a long winter with snowy days just too cold to play outside.  We are welcoming these brief signs of spring.  We played so much in the sunshine today.

The day you kept commenting on seeing the grass!  It has been a long time since we have seen such a great expanse of it since a lot of the snow has melted.  You held my face asking to place outside after waking up from your nap.  You were so eager to play outside in the sun and 30 mile a hour winds.

The day that you gave me a reminder of that sweet toddler that you were so few years ago.  The messy braids, wisps of hair and total wide eyed innocence...thank you for giving me these glimpses that bring me in the past without a photograph.

The evening you were so exhausted you fell asleep in the middle of the stairs on top of your pajamas on the way to your bedroom.  You looked so beautiful and peaceful, I didn't want to disturb you.

The day you wore your "piggy buns" the whole night and day to have it unravel into beautiful waves.  You excitedly exclaimed, "I wish I had curly hair all of the time!"  You bounced around all afternoon catching your reflection in everything and throwing your hair over your shoulders.  That night at dinner you mentioned you had 4 things to accomplish: to be an artist, to be a teacher, to be an Olympian and to be a doctor.

Keystone day 3

 Super neat ice fort at the top.  We kept talking about how much fun the girls would have here!

 On the lift!  It was a beautiful second day there.  We had temperatures in the mid 30s and sun sun sun!  

 I love skiing!  We made it back in one piece which is our major goal.

 A hour of tubing!  Something I have never personally done but a lot of fun!

Keystone day 2

The second day we suited up for a great day on the slopes.  Jamie and I took a private lesson with "Paddy" and had fun learning together.  The view was just amazing.  Around 4 we got together and went out to a 5 course dinner of local cuisine that night.  A great day!

Keystone Day 1

We jetted off for a couples weekend in beautiful Colorado with good friends on Saturday morning.  We were able to make it to the mountains in great time and had fun strolling through the village, eating some good food and soaking up the view!

The day I started to set up your art corner in the playroom.  A place to make a mess, a place to be inspired, a place to create.  When I came upstairs after you came home from school, I knew I would find you here.

The evening you watched the Olympics after dinner and declared that with a lot of practice that you could do the snowboard tricks and look like them too.  I wish I had the self confidence of a 6 year old!  Anything in the world seems achievable through their eyes.  Why shouldn't it?

Days of where of most your "homework" happens to be practice on computer programs.  Some days I feel desperate to fill your mind with any enrichment I can find.  Lately, I am realizing how important it is for you to play and just be a "kid".  For those years when you will have hours of homework and no interest in Barbies or Legos will come soon enough.

The day you couldn't wait to show your Daddy your worksheet that you completed.  You even wrote your name at the top.  You carried it with you in a bag all day and then when he got home you ran to get your "a prize" (surprise).  The day you surprised me with how quickly and correctly you wrote your name.  The day I was filled with mommy guilt on the disproportionate amount of time (compared to your sisters) I have spent with you teaching you these things.

The day you pretended to be Olympians.  You spent hours outside today and when you finally came in, you each made yourself a gold medal that said, "1st place".  You yelled to each other, "We are the world champions!"

I think it is time to get you to the slopes.

The day you built a fort in the living room.  The squeals of delight and resounding "I wuv this" (Juliette) made the mess all worth it.

First cat trick learned is to go limp and play dead.  Best survival technique in this household.

They are so seriously cute together!  I am raising a houseful of cat-crazed kiddos  :)
