Chomping

on Indiana sweet corn at dinner tonight can really effect your smile!

New Kicks

Juliette is a movin' and a groovin". Not quite movin' in a walking sense...but crawls so quickly that she sometimes trips herself. She is pulling herself up now to the stairs and the coffee table. She enjoys chasing Lizzy Loo (Juliette calls her Woo) around and hilariously gets pounced on occasionally. Lizzy must think she is one big kitty to play with. Juliette is now 13 months old and continues to be a tad "defensive" she has a bit too much stimulation or needs some sleep. Don't get too close unless you want to be bitten, scratched, pinched or your hair pulled. She continues to love books and says "woof" when she sees a dog. She loves to eat and her favorites are all kinds of fruit, corn on the cob, cheese sticks and yogurt. She jabbers constantly and enjoys the outdoors. She also likes groovin' to music. She puts her hands up in the air and moves her body. So funny.

Allie and Isabelle love to play with each other and just adore their baby sister. There has been talk that "they" might be ready for a new baby. Isabelle thinks that a boy would be nice, while Allie would like another sister. Good grief. Dinner time is full of giggles, silliness and Juliette throwing food and her sippy cup.

Allie is such a funny girl...loves music (has taken an interest in pop music lately...agh...think singing "Fireworks" by Katy Perry while running through the house)...still enjoys art and coloring. She really liked her Interactive summer class and especially the gymnastics. She is 4 but she thinks she might have her life figured out already. Lately, her alter-ego, "Allie M" has been coming by for a few meals and impromptu play-dates although "Allie M" has everything at her house a girl could wish for...like 11 American Girl dolls and a TV in her room. Jamie wondered why "Allie M" could possibly want to come here! :) She is very much in character and so detailed. it is pretty cute. She rings the doorbell...and voila..."Allie M" is here. She is super polite and sweet...so "Allie M" is welcome to come by anytime!

Isabelle has had a good summer so far. She really enjoys swimming and exploring the outdoors. She also loves to read and be read to. She is getting so tall...and she reminds me of how she is "really growing up now". She got to go to her first sleep-over and had such a great time. She is such a rule follower. She reminded the mom at 11 pm...that they have yet to brush their teeth and then at 11:30 when the mom came down to tell everyone to quiet down and go to sleep...Isabelle did...and was the only one! :) I think the rest of the group fell asleep around 2. Funny. She starts 1st grade in 2 weeks. Exciting.

The moment after she gets her 1st sippy cup of milk of the day, I am running to find something to control her bangs!

Boone County Fair

On Sunday, we drove to Lebanon to see the fair. It was very quaint and surprisingly empty of people but had the usual barns and animals that you would expect at a 4-H fair. To Isabelle's excitement, they had a cat show that we watched for a bit.

Blue Bell ice cream tour

On Monday morning before we left on our 11 plus hour drive to Indy, we took a tour at the Blue Bell ice cream factory in Broken Arrow, OK. It was very interesting and we got a scoop of ice cream at the end! How's that for breakfast?

We stayed with our friend, Matt in St. Louis on Thursday night. It was fun to catch up and we really missed seeing the rest of his family while we were there! On Friday morning we headed to Collinsville, OK to our family reunion. It was wonderful seeing everyone! There was great food, memories and fun in and out of the pool!

Grant's Farm

Carousel rides with Grandpa!

Allie got completely attacked by the crazy goats who by looking at them, didn't look like they needed anything to eat for weeks. So after her mauling, she was very nervous but was able to bottlefeed behind the gate.

That afternoon we traveled to Grant's farm with Grandpa Miller. It was a neat place where you could see the famous Clydesdale horses, feed some goats that were more round then tall and see various animals from elephants to camels. The kids had a great time. And the best part is that at the end of the tour you got to relax with a complimentary beer. Smart thinking! :)
