Halloween 2012....yee-haw!

The girls sitting by their carved pumpkins that they did with Daddy on Sunday.
My best picture that I got of my 3 cowgirls trick-or-treating.  I wasn't able to take many pictures this year as  I was carrying 1 treat bag, 1 toddler with her mouth shoved full of a mini candy bar, 1 hat and a Solo cup of red wine, with my camera across my middle and also keeping an eye out on my other 2 girls running door to door.  :)

It didn't take Juliette long to catch on....:)

We were able to trick-or-treat at the Governor's mansion on Meridian street and have the girls pose with Indiana Governor, Mitch Daniels (Sonny) and his wife (Cher) and others.  They always give out rocking candy too!  It was a calm but cold evening (45 degrees).  The crazy winds from the day before thankfully subsided!    We went for a pre-trick or treating parade on 44th St and then to a halloween party and dinner before venturing out for more fun and candy.  Allie was asleep in the car on the way home but Juliette was on a major sugar high!

Grandpa Miller and Great Grandma came for a visit this past weekend!

The girls just adore their Grandpa Miller!

On the Monday morning when they left the girls were not very pleased!

Haunted House-Wicked Workshop

Last week we went to The Children's Museum's haunted house.  The lights were on, but it was pretty scary inside for the littles.  Isabelle wasn't thrilled about going but we met our friends, the Sofianos there and it was much better going with their buddies.  The museum was closed and Isabelle said, "this just isn't working out the way that I wanted it to" we still managed to have a good time.

Deanna Rose Farmstead

For fall break we went to visit our friends in St. Louis and in Overland Park, KS.  We had a wonderful time.  We first stopped in St. Louis on Friday night and had dinner and watched the game with our friends, the Ciorbas.  Jamie and Matt have known each other since early undergrad at Iowa.  It is always so fun for our kids to play (they have 3 boys who are so fun and adorable) and to catch up too.  On Saturday we went to Overland Park to spend a few nights with the Robinsons.  They were our former neighbors and good friends who relocated to Kansas due to a job.  We were so excited to see them again and so were the girls.  Juliette has a major crush on their son, Cam.  :)  She is so boy-crazy at 2!  Yikes!  On Saturday we enjoyed some Kansas City BBQ with their friends and A LOT of wine!  On Sunday, they took us to this super cool interactive farm called the "Deanna Rose Farmstead".   It had a lot of history and it was a beautiful (and warm) day.  We went to brunch at a delicious place called, "Classic cup" on the plaza in Kansas City.  Jenny and I then took the girls to the American Girl store in the mall after.  Monday, we drove back to Indianapolis.  It was a great weekend!
Isabelle and Cam mining for semi-precious stones.  They give you a bag of sand filled with stones and you place it in a running water area in a mining pan.  This was Isabelle's fav!

The goats are looking up at Isabelle and Allie wondering why they aren't feeding them...

 This was Allie's favorite!
This was Allie and Isabelle's first time fishing.  They really enjoyed it!

Anderson orchard

 LOVE!

 Right off the tree
 So delicious!

 The choices are overwhelming...sheesh!
 This one looks about right...

Isabelle thinks this one is perfect!  And it was also the biggest of all 3 girls.

 So heavy!
Due to an abnormally warm winter and spring, a lot of the apple orchards around the area didn't produce many apples with an exception being one in Mooresville which is about a 45 minute drive for us.  It was a beautiful orchard and some of the trees had just a few apples...very picked over!  But we walked deeper in the trees and found plenty!  2 pecks worth.  Jamie joined us and it was just a terrific morning.  The girls also got to pick pumpkins out of the patch to carve this week while we were there.
