RIP Crunchy
2008-2020

This 29 cent goldfish had survived 12 years of impossible conditions at times but truly was a spectacle of survival.  He was 11 inches when he died and barely a few when we got him!  He seemed to know when someone was in the room...always looking for his next meal!

We hope he enjoys the heavenly ocean!

Isabelle was a princess for her Cantebury Tales project in her Honors English 10 class.  She wrote and narrated a very Chaucer worthy rendition of a middle ages Princess who broke a young man's heart.  They dressed up and presented in front of their class today.

The girls love  to decorate for the holiday!  Although a bit earlier than I normally do, I succumbed to their begging and we rummaged the Halloween and harvest decor from the garage and set up most of our pumpkins and spooky things.

These girlies certainly love their phones...and social media

Doing some late night homework.

My college friend and part of her crew came to visit this weekend from Wisconsin.  We love catching up and her daughter is absolute buddies with the girls.  Her son had a hockey tournament in Fishers and we even were able to cheer him on for one of the games too.  They are amazing hockey players at 10! We were super impressed!  It was great to see them and was fun as always!

It has been TOOOOO long since the girls have made a trek to Iowa!  I was back in June for a week helping my mom recover and COVID has wrecked many plans!  The girls had not been able to see their grandparents since winter.  We were overjoyed to see them in Iowa this Labor Day weekend and catch up for a short time.  Of course they had to say hello to their baby, Lulu.

Catching up with Grandpa!
and Braedy too!

They were so excited to see the animals on the farm.

We were able to see some of the damage from Derecho in the fields.  It was an incredible wind storm that swept through the mid-west and wrecked havoc in Iowa...especially Linn County.  The corn was completely flattened in certain areas where other places were not effected.

Yay for Grandma snuggles

They love catching up with Grandpa too.
