10.13.2019 Sedona, Airport Mesa Vortex and hike

We packed up in Tuscon and drove to Sedona which was about a 3 1/2 hour drive.  It was a really pretty drive and just north of Phoenix we were surprised to find a dense Saguaro forest.  At a certain elevation just beyond a hill...they abruptly ended.  It was really interesting!

We checked into our condo at Sedona Summit.  We had a large apartment with great views of Coffee Pot.

We were hungry and the town of Sedona was really busy!  On a recommendation of a friend we drove to Airport Mesa Grill and were not disappointed.  The food was delicious and had great views of Sedona.  The guacamole was made at the table and the best!  With full stomachs we hiked the Airport Mesa.  This loop took us around Table Top Mountain with panoramic views.

This is one of the powerful vortex areas in Sedona.  They call these up flow areas that have an energy to lift your spirits and mental serenity.

What a great way to take in the sunset!

I love how the light plays off the red rocks at different parts of the day.  They look almost on fire at sunset!  What a beautiful city.
