293.365 Boston Day Three, New England Aquarium, Boston Harbor, Boston Commons

This is the day that we went to the New England Aquarium.  We spent hours at this great aquarium filled with thousands of sea creatures.

"Petting" the rays.
So smooth and slippery

They had a great penguin exhibit...above and below are the African penguins

Little Blue Penguins

Cuttlefish
Isabelle and Allie loved watching the cuttlefish.  It is an amazing creature that studies and responds to you.  They both said that it was their favorite.
They each got a notebook which they would draw pictures and  take notes of all the things that they saw.

Leafy seadragon
Myrtle the sea turtle.  They estimate her to be 70-80 years old.
This tank is 4 stories tall.
Inside is a scuba diver feeding the fish and giving an informative talk with another person on land
Tide pool touch tank.  The sea stars that look folded in half are "righting" themselves.

Juliette loved this exhibit.

The girls and I were on our own for the whole day and instead of navigating the "T" back to the hotel, we walked from the Wharf to Boston Commons.  Above is the Old State House
