292.365 Boston Day Two, Boston Harbor, Freedom Trail, Old North Church, Bunker Hill

by the Central Wharf area

Even though the day was sunny and beautiful, the seas were choppy and high.  The whale tour that we had reserved was planned and we set off to the Stellewagen feeding area past Boston harbor to the Atlantic ocean.

The girls had so much fun on the ride.  Even though they repeatedly had warnings of sea sickness, and the passing out of multiple "vomit" bags we all were okay...many passengers were not.
About 1 1/2 hours into the ride, they announced that they were going to have to turn around due to the waves.  We were all disappointed and hoped to have another opportunity to see this tour in the next few days.
The girls loved the bouncing of the boat and crashing of the waves that sent sprays of sea water into their face.

Some of the islands in the harbor.  The girls joked that they could see whales in the sky.

Waiting to dock...

We started where we left off on the Freedom Trail and explored Paul Revere's House on the North End.

Behind you can see Old North Church.

Old North Church

This is the only church that I have seen that has cubicles.  It was said that the family would "rent" the space and then decorate it with rugs and blankets.  You can see name placards outside the doors.
