Fall break in Indiana and a meeting for Daddy brought us to Boston to spend a few days exploring a great and historic city. After we landed we decided to hop right on the Freedom Trail.
When a food truck has a long line and a lot of people nearby...get in queue. We were in search of the "Cookie Monstah" truck the rest of the week. Unbelievable cookies!!!
Old and New
We stayed in the back bay area and it was a quick walk to Boston Common.
You start on the Freedom Trail on the north part of Boston Common. The Freedom Trail is 2 1/2 miles long path that goes through 16 different sights that are important in the history of the United States. Pictured above is the State House.
Park Street Church
A brick path marks most of the trail. To our left is the King's Chapel and Burying Ground.
Granary Burying Ground
The Granary was founded in 1660 and is the resting place of a few thousand including three people that signed the Declaration of Independence (Samuel Adams, John Hancock and Robert Treat Paine) along with Paul Revere.
Old City Hall
Site of the Boston Massacre
We ended the day near Faneuil Hall where we dined at "Cheers".
