165.365 Saint-Servan and Saint-Malo

I got up early and took a short walk along the wall through Saint Servan.  The boats docked were all so pretty set along the horizon and every morning they had large cruise ships.  I wonder where they set sail to.
Looking toward our beach.
The flat we rented was the one that is tan with the large chimney on top to right.  We had the top 2 floors.
Window shopping in Saint Servan.  The French are amazing with pastries, bread and chocolate, wine and food in general!!!

A typical sight around 1 pm.  People sitting down to eat lunch al fresco.  Others wandering the streets shopping.  Around 5 pm you typically see Parisians sitting down for a coffee or drink.  They usually don't start sitting down for dinner until 7:30 or 8:00 pm at the earliest.

iPhone pictures of an afternoon on the beach.  It was so beautiful and relaxing.

Being on the beach was such a highlight for all of us.  Just being able to see the water and stay so close was pretty amazing.  People were so friendly here and even when we didn't know enough French we managed to get by.  Honestly the French get a bad rap and I can't understand why.  So many people throughout our travels for years have been kind, welcoming and accommodating in France especially when traveling with kids.

All 3 are such beach bums.

Allie and Juliette worked so hard on their sand castle and moat.

We went back inside early evening to have dinner and then came back after changing to watch the sunset.
The girls just can't avoid the water  though!
