Beautiful Grand Harbor.
Valletta is a Unesco World Heritage sight. It called Malta's captial, "one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world".
The Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta, Malta.
1 little monkey jumping on the bed...hope she doesn't fall off...but thankfully she does have a neurosurgeon handy.
Last Saturday, we flew from Stuttgart to the Malta (2 hour flight). Where is Malta do you ask? South of Sicily in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Is your next question, why Malta? Cheap tickets, a direct flight, and it is not exactly a tourist destination for many Americans. It is very popular for the British and the Germans however. We are always up for something a little different. The Maltese island are chock-full of history (now you know why Jamie wanted to go), sun and more sun. It is actually the most densely populated country in Europe with about 400,000 inhabitants. It is also crazy Catholic...claiming about 98% of the population, so it is no surprise that divorce and abortion is illegal. The islands are very rocky with few trees, flowers and streams. Many of the beaches are stony too.
