Proof that the sun does shine in Tuebingen! November is notoriously a rainy, cloudy month and it has lived up to its reputation. We have had a few sunny days in December and on Thurday and Friday it was in the 50's! Isabelle wants the snow back. This picture was taken on the island here in Tuebingen that is in the middle of the Neckar River. It is called the "Platanenallee" and has large and beautiful Plantanen trees (aka Plane or Sycamore trees in North America).
This view is on the walk to Isabelle's kindergarten. I was scoping out the perfect Miller Christmas card background and had my camera along. You can see the church (Skiftskirche) and also the castle (Schloss) and even the Swabian Albs way off in the distance. Isabelle has good days and not so good days at the ole kindergarden. She hates the initial drop-off (she cries for me not to leave her), but according to the teachers has a fine day after. I didn't realize how irresistable I was...ha.
