10.13.2018 Lake Greenwood State Park

Yea for fall break!  On this adventure we decided to get back to nature and camp our way through South Carolina and Georgia which also are 2 states that we hadn't officially visited!  Our focus was exploring the cities of Charleston and Savannah but also driving through and experiencing and staying in parks.

Our first campsite was in northern South Carolina in Lake Greenwood State Park.  We arrived around 5 pm that evening.  It was over 9 1/2 hours to drive here from our house with a few stops along the way.

Our site was right next to the lake.  We could hear the water lapping at the shores all night.

Isabelle and Jamie were in charge of the tent and did great setting up and taking down.  The girls all had a job to do and it helped keep it semi-organized and squabbling down to a minimum.  I started prepping dinner that night which I had made the day before and put in the cooler.  Walking tacos for the win!
