We left Gatlinburg around 10 am and it was bumper to bumper traffic getting into the town. It is a charming little town during the day with a stream, bridges, fudge and ice cream shops and filled with kitschy shops and museums. They even have a salt and pepper shaker museum! At night it seems to be filled with neon lights and signs and not as cute in our opinion. Pigeon Forge is a strip mall town of neon at night. We drove through Tennessee, Kentucky, a bit of Ohio to get back to Indiana. The drive was just gorgeous although we had rain. It was a fun and memorable fall break!
