Allie had her doctor's appointment today. The pediatric visit was certainly different then we were used to. They don't use nurses in the clinic. Dr. Asenbauer did the measurements, vaccines, and the exam. In Germany, it is routine for the babies to get hip ultrasounds (for dysplasia), and bladder and renal ultrasounds to rule out abnormalities. Allie was fine! The exam was very thorough as the appointment took about a hour. She only had two shots today as they combine the vaccines. Her next visit will be at 6 months of age.

Her stats: Length: 60 cm (23.4 inches --I think she is longer then this though!)
Weight: 6.4 kg (14 lbs 1 oz)

Isabelle jumped on the scale too...(she isn't afraid of it yet like her mommy is) and she was 14.5 kg (32 lbs). She is getting so tall too, although I don't have a recent measurement! She is outgrowing all of her 2T clothes.

Glad to hear the appointment went well! Is that a hint for x-mas for Isabelle, some clothes, maybe 3T?

Well, I wouldn't be stepping on no scales either!!! Someday, Isabelle will be like us. Uncle Bud said "bless her heart" after he heard how in depth the appt is in Germany. Enjoy your week and if you have a special trip planned this weekend have fun. Aunt Janet
