We set sail on the Major Marine Tour this morning. This was a 6 hour Kenai Fjords National Park tour. It was a rainy, windy and cold day.

Many different types of birds seen throughout the tour.
Puffin
Otters

Stellar Sea lion colony
A black bear feasting on a whale carcass
Harbor seals on the glacial ice
Pods of orcas
Although we were extremely cold, we were amazed at all the wildlife we saw on the cruise. We also got one more national park checked off the list! We had a deli lunch included and also there was a happy hour with glacial ice as the cruise wrapped up. It was very informative and a great time. We wonder how this trip can get any better! What a beautiful state.
Walking back from our ship...a view of the streets of Seward.

Exit Glacier is one of 35 glaciers that make up the Harding Ice Field in the Kenai Mountains.
In the last 200 years, the glacier has retreated and they have signs indicating which year the glacier was present. The valley is exposed and offers breathtaking views.
