1st day of pre-school and PDO

Decorating her tote bag to use in school.

Standing outside her preschool room.

Isabelle and Allie in front of their new "school".

Thursday was the first day of pre-school for Isabelle and PDO (Parents Day Out) for Allie. Isabelle could barely contain her excitement and had a great 1st day. A parent accompanied the child for a half day of pre-school that included cookie decorating, painting the school bag, a scavenger hunt, songs and a story. Initially she said that the favorite part of her day was the cookie, but when they got to go outside to the playground, she changed her mind. She will go Tuesdays and Thursdays and I know that she will have a great year. Allie will go to PDO once a week on Thursdays from 9-1:00 pm. When Isabelle and I picked her up, she was being held and crying like a maniac, but according to Miss Mary and Miss Carey (her teachers), she did quite well and settled herself down after entering the room (she was crying when I dropped her off too). It may take some time, but I know that she will eventually be okay. (Sorry about the bad quality of the pics, my small camera had a huge smudge on it that I didn't know until the download! aahh!)
