Isabelle is happy to be in Iowa!

On January 15th we flew to Iowa from Stuttgart to share a late holiday celebration with friends and family. We had a great time and are finally unpacked and settling back into a routine. Allie seems to be having a little harder time adjusting to the jet-lag since we have been back. On the way to Iowa, I may have sounded a bit like a broken record..."Are we there yet?", as the flight felt like it took forever (10 hours just to Atlanta). But we made it and the kids did pretty well. We experienced -20 below temperatures (without wind chill) and 60 degree temps a few days later. Only in Iowa, folks! We unfortunately didn't get to see everyone we wanted to, but the weather just didn't seem to cooperate! We spent some time in Moravia, Solon, Cedar Rapids and Des Moines and appreciate all of the hospitality that everyone showed us. Thank you too for all of the wonderful Christmas gifts everyone! We missed seeing the relatives in Oklahoma, but hope to make a trip this summer when we are back for good.
