Isabelle dressed up for Faschingsdienstag. Germany is famous for another big party, their version of Karneval called Fasching. Costumes, masks, parades galore, Fasching is celebrated throughout Germany, with Cologne, Mainz, Munich, and Rottweil being known for their Fasching fun. Parades were held locally, and unfortunately we missed it! Tuebingen doesn't have many parades as it is mainly a protestant city. Isabelle had a Faschingstagfest at her Kindergarten where all of her school-mates dressed up in costumes. Rosi let Isabelle try on some of her son's old costumes (nearly 20 years old). For all of you wondering...Isabelle is dressed up as a mouse.
