A long weekend at Orange Blossom acre is food for the soul! Our framily always plans a fantastic itinerary of fun and relaxation.  They are truly the best of friends.

When we arrived on Friday we headed down to Fort Myers Beach.  This area was destroyed during the hurricane a few years ago and they are slowly rebuilding it.  The beach was hopping and although we didn't spend the afternoon together, we had fun seeing what a busy spring break in Florida looks like at this beach!

The next day, we did a peddle kayak adventure.  It was so much fun!  We even went out to the gulf while a dolphin swam nearby.

We learned a lot about mangroves as well.

It was a perfect sunny and warm day!  The peddles are pretty effortless.

Missing Isabelle and Emma!

Vicki and I went out for a sunrise walk on the beach.  What a beautiful life we live!  Pay attention!

We then went to Easter service at their church
After church we drove to downtown Naples.  There were some great window displays!

We ate at The French!  So YUM!

Captain Sugarscope took us out on an afternoon boat ride.

We parked at the shore for a bit.

Ice cream boat!

Lincoln is the best cuddle buddy!

The next day, Cassie drove Allie and Juliette to the beach where they sunned, did some shopping and had lunch.

In Sarasota County, we visited the Myakka River State Park. Due to low water levels, we couldn't go on a boat tour, but took a narrated drive tour.

little gator

Apparently thousands of gators call this park home.

The Myakka Canopy Walkway is an amazing way to see the treetops of the oak/pam hammock.  It is 100 feet long through the hammock canopy.  You can then climb the tower that is 74 feet tall to see the wetlands, tree tops and prairie/hammock.

We packed in a lot of fun in a short time and are so thankful to our hosts.  We had a great visit!
