Covid still rages on...but we were able to safely take in some sights around the city for the holiday season. The vaccine has been released and pray that it will be a valuable tool in eradicating this virus!
Here are a few things we did this month...
We haven't been to the Indianapolis Zoo lights in a few years, and enjoyed seeing them again! Only a few of their resident animals were out...but these seals and sea lions loved every minute!
We were able to finally decorate the trees and house together!
I love hearing sounds of Christmas carols!
Dad gets excited to show the girls a bit of his specialty...whether it is in a presentation he is practicing or when they are learning about the brain and memorizing parts and what they do for school!
It is pretty amazing that our 5th graders learn about the brain! I didn't learn this until high school and in college! The Project Lead the Way class ends the 9 week with a sheep brain dissection where they identify the parts of the brain as part of their grade.
The girls look forward to helping with the Angel Tree outreach every year! They helped assemble, sort, wrap gifts and even were able to help deliver them a week later!
This girl also "helps" me wrap!

Winterlights at Newfields
Our first measurable snowfall!
A winter fire with s'mores
This year has really refocused on how much I love our little village and area. It also has given me such appreciation for our own house and property.
One of my favorites this year!
Indiana State Fairgrounds light show that was synchronized with a Christmas station of songs.
