Seeing our friends, The Sofianos is like a breath of fresh air. We jetted to Florida to see our framily and get some Vitamin D and Sea. It was a needed trip to recharge our batteries. As per usual, they were incredible hosts with a fun birthday celebration and dinners "around the world". They are great cooks and we had delicious food from sushi to greek. Yum! Thank you for giving us respite.

A special highlight was a visit to Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. It had a beautiful boardwalk with air plants, alligators and so many amazing birds! It is an Audubon birding site.
We were stunned to see so many Roseate Spoonbills. What gorgeous birds! They were busy eating crustaceans like prawns, shrimp, fish and aquatic insects where they get their pink color.
Lurking near are the ever present alligators!
