12.18.2021 New York City, The Met

A trip to experience New York City as a family has been in our bucket list and what an experience to visit during the holiday season!  After a long week of finals and tests, the girls were anxious to get away and so happy to visit!

We took a direct flight from Indy to LaGuardia and then a taxi to our hotel in Midtown East Manhattan. It was about a 30 min drive from the airport.  We arrived before we could check in and so we left our luggage and had lunch at a restaurant around the corner.  We decided to walk to see The Met.

We enjoyed walking the streets and came across many nannies with children, people out walking the dog and other visitors.  The weather was nice and in the high 40s.

The decor and lights were so fun to see!

The Metropolitan Museum of Art was quite busy but fun to explore.  The place is one of the world's largest and has over 2 million works of art in its collection.  We certainly didn't have time to even scratch the surface!

We chose to walk a lot in the city.  So much to see and experience that way!  We walked back to the hotel and checked in.  We had a delicious dinner at an Italian restaurant at the Kimberly Hotel that evening.

Such swanky and luxurous stores everywhere!
