A weekend in the windy city with friends is always a great idea!  We were excited to experience the Chicago Christkindlmarket and see the city with its holiday decor!  We drove in late and our friends had booked our accommodations.  Imagine our surprise that a leak in our room at the Hilton was upgraded at the desk to the Presidential Suite!  We were pretty wowed by the room!

We woke and got breakfast and coffee at Einstein bagels and walked down Michigan Ave to see the holiday window displays at Macy's.

No surprise to see a nod to the Cubs in this one!

We went to see the famous tree at the Walnut room inside Macy's.  So pretty!
They reserved a table inside the tent at the German Christmas Market where we at sauerkraut, a lot of different sausages and potatoes and very authentic pretzels.  We sipped on Gluwein and had delicious German bier!  It definitely took us back to our Christmas we spent in Germany.  The girls had their fill of hot chocolate and cookies too!

It was so so crowded and so we didn't shop.

It was fun to just walk around and experience the atmosphere.  We then went to Millennium park where the girls all got a chance to ice skate!  SO fun and memorable!

We walked back to the hotel after a long day walking in the chilly air.  We ordered pizza in and the girls went swimming at the pool.
