160.366 and 161.366 {2016}

 Every day is something exciting at Camp Miller.  Things that we have done in the past are always new with different exhibits, events and just getting older with new interests.  We hope that the cousins come away with lifelong memories and know that our girls will never forget these special times and moments.  We don't live near family and so every time we get to spend time like this is so memorable.

Our Wednesday, 160.366 {2016}
 "Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks"

The kids found all 12 sculptures by artist, Sean Kenney who used tens of thousands of LEGO bricks to create these amazing works of art.  The outdoor gardens, known as the DeHaan Tiergarten at the zoo are really beautiful.

 The kids loved getting wet and close to the shark exhibit.  Always a great experience.

 The dippin' dots are a must too!

 It was a baby boom at the zoo.  The gibbons added a little one who looked just like her mommy to the family!

 There were also 3 new lion cubs, an orangutan baby and a giraffe calf.  The meercats also added new babies.

 For some reason I thought father's day was coming up in days so I quickly convinced the girls to do their annual pictures and "dress up like their daddy day".  We decided that Eve needed to join in the fun!
 And a few outtakes...  You can see that Eve is thrilled and the kids are overjoyed!  ;)

 I washed and dried the tie-dye t-shirts from earlier this week and the kids loved them!

Our Thursday, 161.366 {2016}

 A warm afternoon called for the sprinklers and some slip and slide action on the Banzai baseball diamond.  Some just wanted to slide the bases while others wanted in on some baseball fun!

 This is a scene like so many evenings at Camp Miller.  Joyously playing outdoors with each other in the backyard.  There were plenty of little fights and tears but all in all they were so good.
 We spent this evening capturing a little summertime magic.
