Juliette's first finger painting

Unless you consider food smearing to be art, this wouldn't be her first attempt at a masterpiece. I did however bravely give her some goo to play in a few weeks ago. She was most hesitant at the beginning but then eventually really started getting the hang of it. She even gave it a little taste...which she thought was unpleasant by the look on her face.

At 16 months old, she is getting closer to walking and will now stand from the sitting position. The look on her face is priceless when she is balancing after she stands. The more you try to get her to walk, the more she resists. Everything has always been on Juliette's terms from the very beginning! She seriously has knees of steel and will crawl on pavement, rocks, sticks, mulch...you name it! She now has all 4 molars in bringing the grand total to 12. She is talking more and more...most heard are"MOM, MOM, MOM, Aeeeee (Allie), up, hop, row row (to sing the song), cracker, cookie, hi. She interacts and plays nicely with her big sisters but has a mean streak too. She definitely is a Miller as she loves chocolate thanks to Halloween candy and suckers too. She is 21 lbs at 15 months (25th%) and her length is 85th%. I will have to post exact measurements when I find the slip from the MD office. She loves her daddy and will go to her friends daddies too.

Happy halloween!

of course Allie had a hard time deciding which princess to be...and finally went with Rapunzel from Tangled.

The kids and friends were able to pose with Indiana Governor, Mitch Daniels at the Governor's Mansion on Monday evening. He is Gomez Addams in the back. They gave out rockin' treat bags with quality chocolate and caramel that I promptly raided from their treat bags after they went to bed.

The trick-or-treating crew before we set out for the evening.

Juliette was not a big fan of the costume. But isn't she an adorable bumblebee?

Isabelle had plans to be a kitty all year and surprised me with going with this pink superwoman outfit! Cute as always!

Juliette avoids the camera like the plague. I think my girls are so used to seeing a camera in my hand that they just go on with their normal routines with an occasional pose. They are good sports!

Happy halloween everyone!

Love the fall!

IMA with Great Grandma Trafton

A complete stranger asks to take my picture???? Yes, please!

Isabelle had Grandparent's day on Friday and Grandpa Miller and Great Grandma Trafton were the farthest travelers (from Iowa) to make it to the celebration (and I think Grandma was the oldest grandparent there). They were able to have refreshments, listen to a 1st grade song, have Isabelle show them around the classroom and talk to the principals and teachers there. They really had a wonderful time! On Saturday early early, Jim, Jamie and Shawn went on a road trip to Happy Valley to watch the Hawks pitiful performance against Penn State. They did have a wonderful time, and couldn't say enough good things about Penn State fans. The girls and I took Grandma to the IMA and had a picnic lunch. She has trouble walking distances so we took frequent breaks but were able to see the gorgeous leaves and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Playing with the pebbles. Juliette always has such a look!

Trying to keep up with her big sisters!

I don't know if she could take a bad picture if she tried.

Grandma and Juliette enjoying the day.

Stuckey farms

We always have such a blast with our friends, The Guffey's and this is one of our "annual" trips...to Stuckey farms in Sheridan, IN. We got there around 4:30 and closed the place down after apple picking and a tractor ride.

Field trip to Country Market

On Wednesday, I had so much fun going on Allie's field trip to Country Market, just north of Zionsville. She was able to climb across hay bails, play in the corn pit, learn about bees and farm animals and enjoy a hay rack ride! Such a special morning with my very special girl.

giving a post-call Daddy a hand with the tree

Juliette kept crawling up to me and putting her face next to my lens.
