It's that time of year again and we have everything crossed for the kids to return back to school.  We are beyond lucky to have a school system that is dialed in and ready to make it happen!  Right now, we are planning to do a hybrid type of system.  2 days in person and the other 3 days are synchronous learning.  We aren't sure exactly how it will all happen but we have faith in our amazing teachers, staff and administration to make it the best possible!  For now, the girls have been able to get their schedule, walk the halls and Allie and Juliette have found their lockers and put a few supplies there.  

 

7.28.2020

The Boone County Fair was cancelled but the girls still participated in their projects as much as possible.  They all 3 did photography.  Isabelle and Allie did a salon color print in their divisions and Juliette did a black and white photo collage.  Allie also participated in the Consumer Clothing notebook.  Since Hera has "aged" out of competition and will retire, Isabelle completed the project but did not show her.  Allie and Juliette did a youtube virtual show for the judges.  Russell got 1st in his division and Gus was 2nd in his division!  Isabelle also did the cat project with Maisey!

Allie got Champion and Reserve Grand Champion and selected for state fair for her Consumer Clothing book.

She also received Champion in her class and selected for state fair for her salon print!

Juliette received Reserve Champion for her board in her beginning division.

Isabelle got Blue with Honors for her salon print of the Arizona slot canyon.

Neowise, also known as C/2020 F3 comet was visible in the northern hemisphere this month.  We scrambled into the car to view it in a park close to us at 11:30 pm at night!  We brought along binoculars to get a better look and able to capture it on the camera too.

We are sooooo excited to see our framily!  They were visiting their family in Kentucky and we were so excited they came to see friends in Indiana too!  We had a great time catching up with the Sofianos crew although we missed Chris!
