We spent a beautiful afternoon exploring the nature park and playing at Eagle elementary playground this Sunday. The girls found toads to play with and some tiny frogs near the pond.

A few weeks ago, Grandma was sadly diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma which is a cancer of her bile duct. She spent time in the hospital and was then transferred to hospice. We have been able to get back a few times to Iowa to see and spend time with her. We celebrated her 93rd birthday a little early today with her favorite cake, german chocolate. We know her time is numbered and so we relish the smiles and endless, "I love you's" that we receive. She is a very special Grandma!

It was a quiet Labor Day weekend for us!
On Sunday after church we went to Turkey Foot park and took Eve for a walk.
The golden rod dotted the edge of the woods and the first leaves slightly littered the path.
We stopped by the Scoop for an ice cream treat! Chocomania is always a favorite!
We waited for Daddy to come home so we could go to the Symphony on the Prairie that night! We made it just in time for some kettle corn and the band to start!
What a gorgeous night to see The Company Men. The girls loved dancing and being in the front row to watch them. They held their hands to the stage and squealed when one of the members of the band touched it! So funny!
Indiana sunsets are truly beautiful!

It is so nice to have those "free" activity days after school that happen to be gorgeous weather wise as well!
Ice cream outside for dessert!
Almost bedtime! Juliette loves her watch!
