Our new bathtub is a big hit with the girls...including Eve who can't wait to be splashed...or lick bath water out of cupped hands.

Its Kokomo beach day at their elementary school where in the middle of the cold, midwest winters they can dress in beach wear and bring a towel to school and have a picnic lunch with a smoothie with their class-mates.
Juliette was so proud of the many illustrated stories she brought home for me. Many featured Eve and she read them to me one by one. Just adorable!
Its an on call Daddy! We sometimes are able to face time before the kids go to sleep.
This dog is so insistent to go outdoors the moment a rawhide bone is in her mouth. Her instinct to dig and bury is very evident!

Juliette found a fallen tulip on the table and then proceeded to place it in her hair and sniff it so much that she had pollen on her nose. She asked to read with me so we went to our library and picked out a few books where she proceeded to sneeze multiple times with rubbing her very itchy eyes.

After school moments with playing school where they are actually getting along! Allie loves it when Juliette will participate. Juliette loves getting her way and gets frustrated easily. Their chemistry together doesn't make for an easy play-date but when things align it is so so good!
Isabelle gets a varying amount of homework nightly. She really is self-motivated which is so wonderful. She works hard and tries to do her best work.

With the temperatures near 70 we wanted to spend some time outdoors today. The girls unanimously voted for "Coxhall Garden". It is one of their favorite parks in the city. They love the little town with the facade of "houses" and running freely throughout the green space and hills.
Just love her freckles!!!!

The weather see-saws from freezing with a bit of snow to mud puddles and rain galore. We all enjoyed a respite of warmish weather this weekend. I love seeing the girls explore in the backyard making "soup" and playing with on another. Eve is their constant side-kick always trying to get in on any action.

We look forward to our annual trip out west to ski over President's Day weekend. This year we headed to Deer Valley in Park City, Utah. It was beautiful!
We stayed in a condo about 1/2 mile away from the Deer Valley Resort. The girls are standing outside of "Lakeside". It was a nice and updated condo with a kitchen and 4 bedrooms. We had a convenient shuttle which dropped us at the front of the ski area.
They had fun swinging chair lifts to sit in.
The girls getting fitted for boots and skis. A long and very warm (and sweaty) process!
Such beautiful views! The first day was sunny and almost 50 degrees!
After the first day of skiing, the girls couldn't wait to get into the heated pool and hot tub. Look at the mound of snow behind them!
On the second day we were able to ski all together for some time. It started to snow as well.
Isabelle and Emma coming back from ski school.
At the end of the ski school day I went up the lift with Allie and Juliette and did a few quick runs with them before they closed it.
It was amazing how quickly they picked skiing again. It won't be long before they are better then their mom and dad!
That night we got reservations for "Snowed Inn" at Park City at the recommendation of a friend. It didn't disappoint and was a definite highlight of the kids! We took a sleigh ride up the mountain in Park City to the lodge that had live music and drinks. On the way back down after dinner, the girls got a turn guiding the horses down the mountain.
On the third day we were all really tired but going to make the most of our last day in Utah. It went soooo fast! We went a little bit early so we could ski a little with them before ski school started. Allie and Juliette were really sad that they couldn't ski with us all day. They need to learn from the instructors now and I know in a few years we will be able to family ski every day!

The family!
It was a short and fun weekend with our good friends. Even though we were all tired, we just love the scenery and being in the gorgeous mountains!
