The girls and I took an impromptu trip to Iowa to visit some family and friends. The girls have such a fantastic relationship with their cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents even though they don't see them often. It is so wonderful to see them catch up from where they left off, like they see each other all of the time. We went to Newton, Des Moines and also the Johnson County fair which was so fun for my siblings, our kids, mom and I to go together. It is where I spent my end of July as a child when I watched or showed in the fair myself!

Allie lost her first tooth!
Allie does not like to wiggle her loose teeth and she squeals when we even look, so it wasn't a surprise when her grown up tooth decided to make an appearance behind the other one and fully come up! Thankfully it moved enough to make the baby tooth fairly loose with a bite of an ear of Indiana sweet corn helped to allow me to finally wrangle it out! Allie was so excited to have it out and said, "well, glad I don't have to wait to have the other grow in" and quickly sat down to write a lengthy note to the tooth fairy. She woke up to a golden dollar and a note from the tooth fairy who didn't apparently answer any of her questions. :)
{This is Our Life} 28.52 {Adventure}
iphonetography of a trip to Turkey Run State park. It is always an adventure with these kiddos...no matter how big or small. Some trips to Target might even be considered one depending on moods! :) The girls love love to hike and be in nature. Juliette also likes to pick leaves and touch everything in her path so she spent a good part of the hike in the carrier (she didn't mind much since she really liked the view and being with her daddy).

Walt Disney World...the trip home
Waiting for the Magical Express. And it was...we were able to check our luggage at the hotel, print our boarding passes and wait for a bus to whisk us away to the Orlando Airport.
Disney was truly a great place (even for us skeptics), wonderful customer service from every Cast Member, immaculate grounds and parks and from these happy faces a fun fun vacation! The girls were at great ages for different reasons and Isabelle was as in awe over the characters as her younger sisters.
Somehow Juliette was the only one who wasn't completely exhausted from the trip! Every one else passed out immediately!
Until next time Disney!!! :)
Walt Disney World...Day 7...back to Magic Kindgom
Although hot and humid, we were mostly lucky with the weather and I am glad that Florida ordered up sun and white puffy clouds on our last day there! Since we had passes for the parks everyday (interestingly the daily cost is way lower after 4 days) we really enjoyed our time, didn't rush things and were able to again visit rides that the girls liked the most.
Under the Sea
One thing we wanted to do and missed..."Enchanted tales with Belle". On the list for next time! :)
The girls loved this ride!
On the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
Mad Tea Party
I stepped back and took a few pictures!
Waiting to see Alice and White Rabbit
She was adorable and totally stayed in character. She asked Allie if "she talked to the flowers" and when Allie said "yes", Alice said, "good...I am glad I am not the only one".
Step-mother and the step-sisters stomping around Fantasyland.
On the people mover again...Jamie also enjoyed the Walt Disney World Railroad.
In the Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. Very fun!
Mickey's Make a Wish performance
Walking back to the resort for an afternoon break and swim.
Sister fun and play time on the bed.
We went back to Magic Kingdom around 730 to watch the Electric Parade (we caught glimpses that first night). We staked out a spot 45 minutes ahead of time...Disney visitors are pushy and fierce...you have to get there early! We then walked closer to main street to see the Wishes fireworks at 10:00.
Truly a magical show with performers, dancers and floats all in lights set to electronic music in a pitch black Magic Kingdom. Glad we didn't miss seeing this one from the front row!
