This is a picture of Isabelle when she was about 5 months old or so. I think Juliette really resembles both of her big sisters but I found this one of Isabelle on the carpet and wanted to compare. :)

photography practice

Allie was hard at work "writing" a story at lunchtime today. This page cracked me up. It is an "evil witch".

learning curve

The title applies to me...not only as a mom but in my attempts to learn the art of photography. Oh my blog-followers...you will be seeing alot of pics soon as I try and figure out the balance between ISO, aperture and shutter speed...among other things. I love feedback.

Happy Spring!

AAAAAHHHHH! Spring weather!!!! The girls and I have really enjoyed having short sleeves this week and the warmer breeze! I love seeing the daffodils and tulips poking their leaves through the dirt and mulch. I love being able to open my windows! What a difference it even makes in your mood! It didn't take long for the pesky gnats and flies to wake up either!

I could just munch on those cheeks and chunky arms all day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Isabelle looks a little green in the face...this was her day to catch the bug!

Juliette learned to smack her lips when you said "kiss kiss". Sooo cute!

Playing with Grandma

The cousins

Allie and Grandma

We were all very excited for the arrival of our Iowa guests on Saturday. We had high hopes of sunny weather, the zoo, Children's museum, good food...among other things. I won't name names, but a certain someone unfortunately had to share the worst *expletive* virus that our house has seen in awhile. After Sunday, it swiftly went through about everyone...except Allie and Braedy. I succumbed on Wednesday and I still don't feel normal. It was a doozy.

Yes...those are Allie's fingers.

Her "Tangled" theme cake.

Make a wish birthday girl.

Last day of ballet class, winter session

Isabelle tagged along to the last few ballet classes with Allie and they both had such a wonderful time! Miss April is great and they really look forward to it every week.

Happy 4th Birthday Allie!!!!

Little Allie 1 week old.

On Friday, March 13th, 2007 Alexandria Dianne decided to make an early arrival! I truly was in complete denial that something was amiss as I was not quite ready for her to come. As with the day of her birth, Allie continues to do things when she wants! She is a spirited, sweet, talkative little girl who loves to sing, dance, emulate big sister Isabelle. She is a meticulous when it comes to coloring, loves to do crafts, she still enjoys playing princesses, going to her dance and swimming class. She likes to spell and be silly. She never ventures far from Mom during the day and really misses her playmate, Isabelle when she is at school. She is great with Juliette and loves to make her giggle...it is so cute.

Rub a dub

Bathtime goes alot quicker when all 3 can be in the tub. Although...it is very wet and chaotic...it is such fun!

What a look!

A baby squirrel finds that it is a perfect fit in a bird feeder.

Lizzy tries out the exer-saucer.

Isabelle with her ever-present smile!

I like to chew on my blankie too.

Juliette has her blankie and paci and is ready for bed!

Grandpa playing checkers with the girls.

My father-in-law, Jim came for a long weekend. The girls absolutely adore him and the feeling is mutual! We are always so happy to have him come. We celebrated his birthday a week late with a delicious chocolate cake from Costco...7 lbs worth. So much for that diet!

8 months!!!

8 months on February 25th!

Big sis and lil sis in their matching jammies.

Time is going so fast with some days that I feel are impossibly slow! I have closets full of totes never unpacked from our move in 2009, drawers filled with old receipts and polly pocket clothes, and thousands of pictures and videos needing to be downloaded and printed. Time to yourself is elusive with the 5 and under crowd. My girls are getting big...literally. And Juliette is now 8 months old. She is definitely full of life and smiles and adores her sisters! She has also started to notice her feline siblings and gets a big grin whenever they are stupid enough to get close. She is a grabber!!! She loves her pacifier and a white silky blanket. She thinks that big girl food is way better then baby food and she gets a little huffy when she sees you eating and don't offer her a bite. She likes to cram large amounts of puffs in her mouth and gets bites of avocado, mashed potatoes and bread. She is certainly NOT on the move...and as I have said before....not sure if I really want her to be quite yet, but she likes to sit and REEEEEAAAAACCCCHHHHH as far as she can. She loves to play with a small soccer ball, blocks, fisher price little people and anything that makes plenty of noise. She all in all is an absolute joy!!!!

Momma got a new camera

sooo big!

and now I need to learn how to use it! But what a cute and patient model Juliette is!
