A Halloween party

The girls are beyond excited for Halloween. Allie will tell you at least 59 times a day that she is going to be "a princess" and then ask you what you are going to be. She sleeps with her costume and often in her crown (as you can see from the below post). No surprises that Isabelle decided to be a kitty this year. She loves to play and dress up like a cat, meows on a regular occasion, and adores Erwin. They had fun at a local party. Isabelle said that she liked the "craft" table best.

I guess it is true...princesses do sleep in their crowns.

"It's fall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

This Wednesday we enjoyed a beautiful fall day with some of our favorite pals, the Guffeys. The girls love those Guffey boys and had a fun day picking apples and the hayride to the pumpkin patch.

A little landscaping

Like about everything with this house...it needed a little updating...with the landscaping...it was a bit out of control. We have had some landscaping recently done with the front and even with just the japanese maple planted and nothing else...it is already a big improvement.

The alphabet

Isabelle has taken a new interest in coloring and writing words and letters of the alphabet. What a big girl she is!

We were able to attend homecoming for a second straight year and see the Hawkeyes to another victory!

If you are ever on Interstate 74 on the way to see us (hint hint), take a few hours to hike this beautiful state park in Indiana. The deep gorges, the meandering Sugar Creek (that you can canoe and tube in the summer months), and unique sandstone, makes this place a must see if you are in the area.

Happy 12th birthday Erwin

We celebrated Erwin's 12th birthday with party hats, blowers and a birthday song. He enjoyed his special meal of tuna and his gifts of toys and a new kitty bed from the girls.
