Random pictures from the week

Isabelle holding a "knockout rose".

Isn't mother nature amazing? I don't know what species of butterfly this is, but their wings look like the eye of an owl.

Before bed...a bath, book, prayer, cuddles, giggles, and then off to sleep...well...in my dream-world.

Allie is going to be my girlie girl...she loves makeup, mani/pedis, dresses and anything frilly...she also loves to be in my drawers and to put on deodorant, lotion, eyeshadow (you name it) in the morning.

A tired Isabelle.

After the fair last Wednesday, we had rain and then some more sunshine. The girls thoroughly enjoy the outside of our new house. They run, chase each other, play in the grass and with tree bark and roll down the gradual hills.

Indiana State Fair part 2

Along with a few of their best buddies, they were able to enjoy a the fair a second time last week!

photographing our hummingbirds is not an easy task.

Our groundhog out and about for a cameo.

"Princess" Allie.

Indiana State fair.

Isabelle LOVES cotton candy!!!! She can eat an entire bag in one sitting.

Chocolate covered bacon. What will they think of next.

Isabelle thought that the sheep dressed up like "ghosts" were very entertaining.

Enjoying the best milkshakes and grilled cheese at the milk barn for dinner.

At a new city park in St. Louis. We met our friends, the Ciorbas for a brief (too brief) rendevous downtown before we left on Sunday. They were heading to a baptism and their boys were all dressed up but the water proved to be too inviting for the kids.

Allie loves to lay in the grass and rolls from side to side with huge grins.

Another pic from the game.

St. Louis

This weekend we all left the Miller homestead and went to a much nicer, cleaner hotel in St. Louis. We stayed close to the arch and Busch stadium where we saw the Cardinals take on the San Diego Padres. It was a great game...especially since they won and the girls were incredibly good. Isabelle would occasionally belt out a very frustrated, "I'm done with this game!", but all in all they were great. Allie made it to the 9th inning and then passed out and didn't even wake up when I transferred her in to the bed.

A bit of a jumbled family picture (and we are missing Shawn), but on route to the game in front of the Old Courthouse and Arch.

Isabelle sporting a pink STL hat before the evening game.

Isabelle and Allie continue to be the best of friends, but if they want the same toy, the worst of enemies. All and all they play well together about 95% of the time and love each other so much!! Allie tends to be the bigger bully and Isabelle just takes it and then runs and tells me all about the encounter.

Seeing the butterflies.

The Jurasek family was in town last Thursday and Friday, and we had a great time while they were here. We went downtown to the zoo and butterfly exhibit and then had a nice dinner out. Jamie and Kevin went to the Colts game while Kriston, the kids and I went to the Monument Circle for some ice cream and then a little shopping at the mall.

Wildlife at the new residence

We live next to woods and thick brush and apparently is home to alot of critters that have come to visit.

1 momma deer
2 playful and curious fawns
1 woodchuck
1 fox named, "Foxy" (perhaps that woodchuck is no longer...)
numerous birds and hummingbirds
a few bats
all sorts of bugs and mosquitos
alot of bees

A wonderful weekend to spend outdoors...but we are engulfed in boxes! Unpacking can wait! Wonder how long I will be saying that one!

Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. Pink shoes. These shoes rule.

Goof-ball!

New constantly heard phrases...

Isabelle-"Mom, look at me!" "Watch me!" "Mom, are you watching?"
Allie-"Mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommmy, mommy..."

Close up!
