I was in town for an appointment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Susan joined me for a few extra days in New York City. We did all the things we could possibly fit into a short week. I love NYC.
The things you see in NY!
In Central Park they had a big pickleball center. So fun!
Of course we had to get a NYC bagel.
Exploring Manhattan…
Dog park…best part of a city dog life.
The fifa World Cup games were held all over the country, including here.
Library
The knicks won the championship and you could definitely feel the energy and happiness of the New Yorkers. They held a ticker tape parade on Thursday.
One of our fav coffee places!
Susan is a big fan of the Today show and we got a chance to be in the outside audience and on TV! What a fun experience. We got to meet a guard lab.
How interesting to see the behind the scenes of the show!
We were able to catch a Broadway show. The Great Gatsby was wonderful with so many amazing singers and dancers! What talent!
We spent some time walking in Central Park. It was a beautiful few days weather wise in the city.
We got a chance to talk to some dog walkers too. What a fun job!
The Katz’s delicatessen was the location for the very infamous scene in Harry Met Sally. The pastrami sandwich was huge and very filling. It was a very busy place.
We also walked along the Brooklyn Bridge.
Castle Clinton National Monument
A view of the Statue of Liberty from a viewpoint in Battery Park.
Visiting the 9/11 Memorial at the North Tower Pool and South Tower Pool. Always a powerful and moving experience.
Susan’s first time navigating the subway!
My oncologist visit went as expected. It is all about resetting the clock when we can! It was good to have a follow up with her.
A view from our hotel…love the rooftop garden.
One of the best parts was being able to see and have dinner with our niece, Danielle who was in town for work. So fun to catch up!
