Cardinals Day 9 of life

preening
stretching
waiting
eating

Love watching these babies grow and know that their time is short in the nest.  Momma and Daddy have a joint effort in raising their chicks, making sure they are fed.  The adults communicate constantly with each other with clicks and songs.  It is so amazing to witness and feel lucky to be able to catch this interaction through my living room window.

The annual States fair for 2nd graders was great!  Allie was Illinois with two boys from her class and gave a small presentation, did a poster, decorated a hat with things that represented the state of Illinois.  After the parade, the 2nd graders filled the gym.  Juliette, Daddy and I got to watch and Isabelle came the next day with her class.  Wonderful job, Allie!

Our mama cardinal is also celebrating mother's day!  Her babies have hatched!

 A day of sunshine
church
a very late (never delivered) breakfast that became lunch
love
smiles
a walk in the park
dinner out
and reflection on how lucky I am to have you,
Isabelle
Allie
Juliette

It's a life I feel so undeserving of at times.  I am blessed with each of you and a supportive and loving husband.  Mother's Day I celebrate every day...I truly realize how amazing each of you are. A piece of me that lives and thinks and is the incredible you.

My mother's day tea with my littlest.  Times like these are so special as this will be the last preschool "tea" I will attend.  I remember being 9 months pregnant with you, Juliette when I attended my first Mother's day celebration with Isabelle.  How times change, but seem the same.  Thank you for the beautiful flower and decorated pot, the card, songs and food.  So special you are and such a gift.
