The afternoon we posed in our Christmas Eve attire for the family church service.

For the last few years we have attended the family service at 3 and the kids really enjoy it.  We sing a lot of songs and they go to front for the live retelling of Jesus' birth.  We were again invited to our dear friend's house for a tamale evening tradition where the kids even participated in a talent show for the adults.  Isabelle played "Carol of the Bells" and Allie, "The Little Drummer Boy".  Juliette decided last minute she was too embarrassed to do her "gymnastics".  We are thankful for their friendship.  We got home and Isabelle and Allie put milk, cookies and carrots out for Santa and his reindeer.  Juliette was already passed out upstairs!

The girls are waving good-bye to their elves.  This year, Charlie Jack brought two friends with him from the North Pole, "Shelbie" (Allie's elf) and "Emma" (Juliette's elf).  They rushed down every morning to see where they were.  Our elves tend to not be very mischievous and occasionally will bring a piece of candy with them.

We briefly had our friends, the Horn boys over the other day and they convinced you to play football.  You didn't realize how much fun it would be and how much your Dad would enjoy playing with you.

The girls are full on excited for Christmas to come.  The day of first official day of winter break and you spent some time decorating (eating) the gingerbread house!

Your imaginations make me long for the simplicity of childhood!  I wonder if I was ever that clever when I was your age.

We were so sad to see them go after such a short weekend!  We went to church and then the Cheesecake Factory for brunch.  I did a quick photo shoot and then they had to leave.  We can't wait for this to be an annual tradition that they start to visit during the holiday season in Indy.

First thing Saturday morning we went to the Children's Museum and Jolly Days!  Here we are standing in line for the Yuleslide!

At Jolly Days we waited a long time to see Santa!  Jameson was so thrilled it was too cute!

We went home briefly and then got our warm jackets and hats to head to Christmas at the Zoo to see the lights.  When we went into the Oceans exhibit the sun was just starting to go down.  When we walked out it was dark and the lights were aglow!  It was so special!

After the train ride, our time at the zoo ended but we had a fantastic time and made great memories together!

My sister, Jamie made over a hundred of sugar cookies and we had a decorating party after dinner that evening.  The hubs was working so we made an honorary cookie for him.
Yay!!!  My sister and her kids and my mom came for the weekend!  We were soooo happy to host them right before Christmas and enjoy a few of the fun holiday activities!  Juliette took the above pic!  :)

 So fun!  So many sprinkles!
