What is this rice cereal stuff???
I think I am old enough to feed myself, thank you.
All right, my sister can help, but I am not crazy about bananas either.

Allie gets her first tastes of solid foods this week. She may need some more time to figure out how to get more in her mouth, then on her chin and bib.

HI blue eyes!

Allie had her doctor's appointment today. The pediatric visit was certainly different then we were used to. They don't use nurses in the clinic. Dr. Asenbauer did the measurements, vaccines, and the exam. In Germany, it is routine for the babies to get hip ultrasounds (for dysplasia), and bladder and renal ultrasounds to rule out abnormalities. Allie was fine! The exam was very thorough as the appointment took about a hour. She only had two shots today as they combine the vaccines. Her next visit will be at 6 months of age.

Her stats: Length: 60 cm (23.4 inches --I think she is longer then this though!)
Weight: 6.4 kg (14 lbs 1 oz)

Isabelle jumped on the scale too...(she isn't afraid of it yet like her mommy is) and she was 14.5 kg (32 lbs). She is getting so tall too, although I don't have a recent measurement! She is outgrowing all of her 2T clothes.

She usually enjoys lots of kisses from Mommy...in this picture she is not so sure of this.
Watching the ducks on the Neckar and enjoying the warm, summer sunshine!
Allie's itty bitty feeters...
I love to be outside!

We went back to the "fest" today and had a wonderful dinner and Isabelle had an opportunity to have some fun on the rides. It is sunny in the low 80s here.
What!!!!????!!! I can't go on any more rides??????!!!!????

As German is pretty much going to be Allie's first language as a baby, Isabelle is picking up words too! She says hi, bye, please, thank you, and can count to 10 in German. When she is counting she says eins, zwei, drei, bier (instead of vier). I think she knows what this place is all about! She watches her cartoons in German with a very fierce intensity...she is probably learning alot faster then me!!!!
